Use a gentle, sulphate free and paraben free shampoo

Curly hair can be more delicate than straight hair, so it's important to use a gentle shampoo that won't strip your hair of its natural oils. Look for shampoos that are sulphate-free and contain natural ingredients like aloe vera and coconut oil. Sulphate free shampoo have less lather and foaming and are good for gentle cleansing of the hair and scalp.

Use a natural (herbal) conditioning shampoo

Curly hair needs moisture, and lots of it. Use a rich, hydrating conditioning shampoo every time you wash your hair. A shampoo with herbal extracts of methi etc. is a great way to ensure that your shampoo has conditioning properties as well. This will help to keep your hair hydrated and reduce frizz

Don't brush your hair with force

Brushing curly hair with force can cause it to frizz and break. Instead, use a wide-toothed comb or your fingers to detangle your hair when it's wet. Start at the ends and work your way up to the roots, being careful not to pull or tug on your hair. If at all you want to brush your curls, be gentle and mild with your actions.

Sleep on a silk pillowcase

Cotton pillowcases can cause friction and breakage, especially if you toss and turn in your sleep. Switch to a silk or satin pillowcase to help reduce friction and keep your curls looking smooth and defined. This is a great way to ensure that while you sleep your curls are being taken care off.

Avoid excessive heat styling

Heat styling tools like flat irons and curling irons can cause damage and dryness to curly hair. If you must use heat, use a heat protectant spray and keep the temperature low. Though it is encouraged to let your curls air dry or use a diffuser to enhance them.

Trim your hair regularly

Split ends can cause your hair to look dull and lifeless. To keep your curls looking their best, get a trim every six to eight weeks to get rid of any split ends and keep your hair looking healthy. Split ends can also lead to hair loss, hair fall and prevent good hair growth.

Use gentle products, keep your hair hydrated, avoid heat styling, and embrace your natural curls. With these tips and tricks, you'll have healthy, beautiful curls in no time.
