These herbs are important for products for hair growth. Any herbal hairfall solution for women and men should include at least some of these herbs.
Jatamasi: Jatamansi helps control hair fall and promote hair growth. It is a cooling herb which helps balances the doshas in the body. It also promotes hair growth and removes excessive dryness due to its Snigdha (oily) and Ropan (healing) properties. It also helps to improve strength and volume to hair. It prevents premature greying and is good for all kinds of hair. It is especially good for dry and brittle hair.
Brahmi: Brahmi is a hair friendly herb. It helps to make the hair follicle, roots and hair stronger, and stops hair fall. It creates natural protective layer on the hairs to reduces the possibility of split ends. Brahmi can nourish the scalp efficiently and turns it healthier, it also gives thicker and stronger hair. It improves memory power and intellect. It effectively reduces stress and anxiety, & is a good natural conditioner which helps get strong, silky, smooth and healthy hair growth.
Bhringraj: Bhringraj is rich in vitamins and minerals. It contains vitamin E, vitamin D, magnesium, calcium and iron. It helps to prevent hair loss, dandruff, and premature greying. It also helps in hair regrowth by promoting blood flow to the scalp. It cures headache and is said to help in partly managing alopecia. It strengthens hair growth from follicles and helps in getting strong hair. It also improves dry and itchy scalp.
Hibiscus or Japa Pushpa: Hibiscus is a good source of vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants essential for hair growth. It has cooling and soothing properties, which makes it an ideal scalp refreshing tonic. It increases blood circulation, rejuvenates hair follicles and helps in reducing hair fall and dandruff.
Methi: Methi is an anti oxidant which stimulates blood flow to the scalp and nourishes the hair follicles to promote faster and healthier new growth. It is a rich source of folic acid, Vitamin A, Vitamin K and Vitamin C.It is a great natural conditioner and helps to get silky , smooth hair. It has a high mucilage content which helps to detangle hair and improve lustre. Methi is specially good for colored and treated hair.
For dandruff, methi or fenugreek has anti bacterial , antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties that reduce dandruff and scalp irritation. It helps in detoxification and helps cleanse the scalp and hair. If you are losing hair due to menopause, we highly recommend fenugreek since it is high in estrogen and thus will help prevent hair from thinning.
Karanja: Karanja has ropan (healing) and antimicrobial properties. It is useful in treating skin diseases and helps to improve scalp health. It is good for all kinds of itchy , dry and oily scalp. Karanja is helpful for reducing hair fall, itching or dandruff which occurs due to an imbalance in doshas.
Guduchi: Guduchi is a powerhouse of antioxidants which fight the actions of free radicals to ensure your hair stays healthy. It has rejuvenating (rasayana) properties, leading to hair growth. Moreover, it has anti-inflammatory properties which contribute towards countering factors that can lead to dandruff and hair fall. It helps to balance all the three doshas, promoting good hair.
Guduchi helps to remove toxins from the body and purify the blood. It also helps to remove the impurities and dirt from the scalp. It is rich in anti oxidants which reduce hair fall and improve hair growth.
Neem: Neem is antiseptic, controls dandruff and stimulates hair growth. It is rich in anti oxidants, Vitamin E and Calcium. Neem also has antifungal and antiseptic properties. It is cooling and prevents baldness It minimizes greying of hair and reduces dandruff. It is a natural conditioner and works well on all hair types and scalp types.
Anantmool: Anantamool is rich in essential oils and is proven effective in skin disorders and pacifying Pitha dosh. The decoction of anantamool roots is a very effective hair and scalp cleanser. It helps in reducing hair fall and getting new hair. It is a cooling herb, which reduces excess heat from the scalp and treat problems like dandruff and itching.
Manjistha: Manjistha has antioxidant and astringent properties. It is a natural blood purifier. It helps to regenerate hair follicles and reduce excessive dryness that controls dandruff and prevents hairfall. It promotes natural colour of the hair and reduces grey hair. It also adds shine and strength to the hair.
These herbs when used in proper dosage, proper formulation and proper regime work wonders to get strong hair, shiny hair, beautiful hair and a healthy scalp.
